Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Can I be forced to sign a separation notice?

My employer is holding my last paycheck until I sign a Seperation Notice.

The problem is that it is full of lies. I do not want to sign it. Is she allowed to keep my check until I sign it?

There are no set rules as to handing out the last paycheck. However, practice and procedure sets that employers usually should provide the last paycheck on the next payday or end of the following pay cycle.

You should request in writing your last earnings (paycheck)as soon as possible to your employer. Then give him 10 days to deliver it. Make sure your letter includes a correct address for the employer to send you the paycheck.

Good Luck!
