Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I am a full time student. I took a full time work position with Merit Corporation. After 22 hours of work for this company I could not keep up full time school. I quit the job. Merit sent me a letter stating they will not pay me for the 2 days work. So I worked 22 hours. What rights do for compensation? How to I get Merit to pay me for the work i did?
Thanks
John

If they won't pay you, you will need to sue.

Try Small Claims court in the County in which you were employed. You don't need an attorney for that, and filing fees are nominal. If you are too scared to go to court, I will help you for a very low fee (less than what you can recover).
Good luck.
