Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
hostile work environment sexual harassment
Quite a few women in my work place have been harassed by the same person. I have been told the the president of the corporation that the women had to say stop or no for it to be harassment. Many were to scared to do so. Does the stop them from being able to file a complaint?

Re: hostile work environment sexual harassment
"Stop or no" is not the standard. But the women need to make their complaint known for the company to do something about it, usually by following the sexual harassment policy if there is one. It appears that the Pres. does know about it, so if the company just ignores it after that, they may be liable for damages.
The women can all file charges with the EEOC (or a state or county human rights commission)for free, or retain an attorney to help.
If you want to discuss the matter, please call for a free consultation. It may be the type of case I could take on a contingency basis (no attorney's fees unless there is a recovery), or for a small retainer.
Good luck.
