Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
houly pay scale
I work at a local hospital. A new employee was highered in a sister dept at a much higher pay scale. The people I work with have min. 6 to 15 yrs exp. She has 6. She is make 25% more. Doesn't the hospital have to bring the rest up to that rate? We can float to her dept and do her job but she can not do ours. Is the hospital in the right to do this?

Re: houly pay scale
No -- there is no law requiring your employer to pay you what they pay others. You can always ask, as a group would be best, and you can always find work elsewhere.
