Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

My husband has been working with a restayrant for almost 2 years now. They have started random drug testing just recently and made him go in for a drug test. They are not allowing him to work until the results come in. It has been a week already. I was wondering if it is legal for them to not give him hours while this is happening. They never gave him anything written or signed that says that he will not be working until then. Are they allowed to do that? Is there anything we can do?

It depends on their policy. If you don't like the terms of their work contract, start looking for a job where they do not treat their employees in a way that you object to.
