Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

labor law

I have been working for 2 years as a full time employee, now my employers says I was never a full time only part-l time. I worked 40 plus hours per week for the past 2 years. Now they said I am only part time for 20 hours a week.Is that legal? Don't they have to pay me over time for the 2 years I have been working as a full time? I live in Port Saint Luice Florida.

Re: labor law

If you were working 40 hours a week you were full time. If they want to make you part time now, they can do so unless their contract with you says differently.
