Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I was laid off due to position elimination. I discovered that they gave the admin assistant in my dept my job becuase the VPs were told to lay off their admins and my vp wanted to save his admin so he laid me off and gave me her job. Is that allowed?

You still have a job, right? As long as you still have a job earning the same amount, what is there to complain about?
