Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I was lay off and i ask why ,they said that in the state of florida there is a law that says that they can fired me for no reason. is this true?.

Yes, it is true. Florida is an employment "at will" state, which means an employer can fire you for no reason or any reason so long as it is not an illegal reason.
