Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

layoff legal or not

i worked for a company for almost ten years, there are only three people who have been with the company longer (laborers). i was laid off but yet they kept people with far less expierence and qualifications. one being the bosses personal assisistants husband who is basicly useless. also i was told by a prior empoyee to watch my back because my supervisor was tring to get me fired because he didnt like me. do i have any legal recorse?

Unless they are firing you because of your age (if over 40), i.e., they don't want "old people" or unless the termination is because of your race, gender, etc., then they can legally terminate your employment for any reason at any time.
