Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I am considering leaving my current company in FL and have $10,000 in outstanding commissions. My company only pays on commissions once we are paid in full even though this might take 6+ mths from sales date. If I leave now, what are my rights for collecting on commissions earned prior to me leaving?

Depends on what your employers policy is. Generally, the law in Florida is if you are supposed to continue to service the client or customer after you sell to them, the employer might not owe you the commissions at all after you leave. You probably want to speak to any employment lawyer on this issue.
