is it legal for your employer to take money out of your check for missing a days work when your on salary, then when you ask why, your fired

An employer should pay an employee on salary for a full day when they work some hours, regardless of the number of hours worked. The employer does not have to pay the salaried employee for days in which no hours are worked.
