Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Is it legal for a South Florida employer to terminate an employee for not following their company policy when this isn't applied equally to all employees? I was recently terminated to taking too much time off (health reasons) but the person who terminated me continues to this day to violate the sexual harassment company policy (not against me but other females in the company). His behavior has been reported several times to the HR representative, the HR regional manager and one of the physician partners (who encouraged this female to take action - which she did and still nothing has been done). His behavior was also reported to a higher ranking corporate employee and still nothing gets done. How can I be terminated for not following policy when this other person continually doesn't follow policy and is allowed to continue his employment as a supervisor? Another employee who tried to do something about him was also terminated. Another one is scheduled for maternity leave and I'm sure her job won't be available when she returns --- they'll offer her another but it will be one that she doesn't want. So many people are aware of him violating company policy but nothing gets done. We are all extremely frustrated with this situation. (I also was never told by the supervisor who terminated me, the HR representative or the HR regional manager that I could take FMLA until after I was written up for taking too much time off.)

Hey there. Who was employer and where are they located? How many employees? What was date of termination? Did you file for unemployment? Feel free to call or e-mail to discuss further.
