Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Is it legal for 17 year olds to serve tables at a restaurant? Serve alcohol? Pour alcohol? Hours legally worked? Can they work overtime? I know a restaurant that uses all those practices because I worked there.

17 year olds may work as servers in restaurants. Generally, employees who are under 18 may not serve or pour alcohol, but exceptions apply.

See Florida Statute 562.13 Employment of minors or certain other persons by certain vendors prohibited; exceptions. Statutes are available at http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes
