Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I live in Florida but work for a company in Connecticut. I am about to get laid off. Does opening my own consulting business affect my eligibility for unemployment and if not, where do I file for unemployment?

If you are working a full time job as a consultant it may, I would go online and file with the Agency for Workforce Innovation, answer honestly.
