Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

loss wages for company closing

If a company chooses to close for a few days , does the company pay employees for that time or do employees use their personal time, which the company is telling us to us?

The company can choose to implement whatever practice it sees fit. The law does not require them to pay for time not worked, so if you're place of work was closed because, for example, of the hurricane, your employer is not required to pay you. However, they may still choose to pay you -- or they could count the time missed from work against accrued or personal time (which is also a benefit your employer is not required to but may still provide).
