lost time for a disaster

has a florida employer the right to deduct lost employees time caused by a disaster such as hurricane Wilma from that employees vacation time...?

Florida unfortunately does not have a law that requires payment for time not actually worked . . . even if due to a hurricane or other act of nature. Many employers, however, voluntarily pay for missed time if and when feasible.
