Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Mandatory meetings on the weekend...working w/out pay?

I was wondering if it is legal for an employer to make someone come to a a ''mandatory'' staff meeting on a Saturday without paying them (non salary job) Also to work a daycare function on a Saturday and not get paid for that either...Is this legal? The job isa minimum wage job.

You are entitled to be paid. If you are working overtime (40+ hours) then the time is overtime. If you would like to consult regarding a claim against your employer, please feel free to contact my office.
