maternaty leave

i am about 20 weeks pregnante and work at walmart.when the nurse found out how much i have been lifting i was given a note with a 25 lb. limit when i turned it in i was told i can't work with restrictions and was told to go on leave.i have been told i should go on unemployment is that something i can do? any help with this would be great thank you.

The problem that you may run into with collecting unemployment benefits in Florida is that you technically have to be "available" and "able to work" but simply be not working and not receiving wages in order to be eligible to receive UE benefits. Consult with someone in your local unemployment office to find out more information or meet with an attorney to further understand what rights you may have.
