mediation
if i filed a lawsuit against a company, and receive a letter to attend ''mediation'' what does that mean?

In florida, mediation means an attempt to settle the dispute or the litigation before a certified mediator.. it often yields an end to the matter, and in employment cases, a settlement for the employee... unlike arbitration, it is not binding, i.e. one is not required to settle .
