Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Mileage reimbursement

I worked for an employer for almost 2 years. Drove a quesstimated amount of 2628.14 miles for the business. It stated in the handbook it would be reimbursed. However, I have nothing in writing. I asked several times, owner stated they didn't have any money. I no longer work there and am taking them to small claims for paying me minimum wage for my last 2 weeks when I was on a much larger salary. QUESTION - Can I include the mileage in the claim??? What are the chances a judge will grant that? There are people who saw me at these places on a daily basis, knowing I was doing work related things??

Re: Mileage reimbursement

You may be able to add in the mileage claim to your small claims Complaint. I would send a detailed demand letter to the employer with a deadline for them to provide the reimbursement. If they didn't respond, I would then seek to amend my Complaint to add this claim.
