Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Moonlighting

Can my full time employeer (a resort) tell me that i can not work on my days off (2 days a week) at an Equine Veterinary Hospital? I was told by my current employer that i was not allowed to have a second job, I am a salried manager, and have 2 consecutive days a week off, now they are changing my days off to break it up to make it more dificult to work my other job. I have been at the full time job for over 2 years now, and the new job does not interfere with my current job. They are really pressing the issue now, and want me to change my days off. Can you help?

Re: Moonlighting

Unfortunately, your employer can make these rules, even if unfair, because the law in Florida is employment at-will and they are free to create rules even if unfair or seemingly irrelevant.
