Negligent Hiring

What precedent cases would be best

to use in the Florida jurisdiction for

negligent hiring at a public school

that hired a maintenance worker as a

soccer coach and there was no

background check and he slapped

one of the students?

There are not enough facts here.

What would the background check have shown?

There are limitations in suing a governmental entity, like a school. A slap that did not injure, in my judgment, would rarely be worth the effort and expense of a suit.
