Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

non - compete contract

If an employer has you sign non-compete contract as a condition of employement are you entitled to a copy of the contract?

If you demand a copy of the contract (after termintion of employment) and state that you unless you recieve a copy of the contract you will consider that the contact is void and dont recieve a copy ...is this enough to void the contract?

THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS DO NOT CREATE AN ATTY CLIENT RELATIONSHIP. YOU SHOULD SEEK LOCAL COUNSEL TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

1. GENERAL TIPS: OBTAIN A COPY, OR THE ORIGINAL OF EVERYTHING IMPORTANT THAT YOU SIGN, ESPECIALLY CONTRACTS! 2. IN MY OPINION, MERELY REFUSING TO GIVE YOU A COPY OF THE CONTRACT WOULD NOT INVALIDATE THE AGREEMENT. HOWEVER, THAT POLICY SEEMS FOOLISH, SINCE THEY NEED TO REMIND YOU OF THE NON-COMPETE SPECIFICS YOU SUPPOSEDLY AGREED TO, DONT THEY? WWW.ANNECURTISTERRY.COM
