Not Being Paid

I currently live in the state of Florida. I started employment for a company which specializes in outdoor advertising. The job required me to stand along the street twirling a sign for different condo and apartment complexes. Approximately three weeks ago, I worked an entire weekend. I have not received my check in the mail from the advertising company and all my calls and e-mails remained unanswered. The company does not have offices listed on their website and no other method of contact exists. I have three questions:

What steps can I take to recover my pay?

Is the condo complex responsible for paying if the advertising company doesn't?

What government agency should I report the organization to?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

There are several legal issues here. First, if the advertising company is your employer, the advertising company is responsible for your wages. If you are an independent contractor-it depends you who are agreed to work for.

The steps you should do is request your payment in writing to your employer. If you have not received your wages after 15 days of sending the letter you can pursue this in court.

You can contact an attorney to assist you in this matter which I highly advise since you have already attempted to contact the advertising company yourself.
