Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

no pay for travel time & meals

I worked for a company based in CA for 7 years as a ''in-house'' technician. I serviced & installed their equipment all over the US and was never paid for travel time, meals, personal vehical maint. etc.. I was paid bi weekly a base amount and invoiced them per job & rates which were deducted from my base. The company in ? recently sold out to another Co. leaving me jobless. That Co. offered me a job under the same basic terms but I declined. Do I have a case for lawsuit here?

Re: no pay for travel time & meals

based on what you have stated here I am not sure what grounds you would have for a lawsuit. You apparently agreed to these terms of employment and compensation. Hopefully you claimed the un-reimbursed business expenses on your tax returns.
