Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Promised Bonus

I work for a very large bank which offers a refferal bonus of $500 when you reffer a new hire. The qualifications of the refferal bonus state that you must be an employee on the date of the pay out which will be on the 13th of August which also happens to be my last day there. However we are paid on the 15th and 30th of every month but since the 15th lands on a sunday we are paid on the 13th and they are trying to tell me that because I will not be an employee as of the 15th I will not get the bonus. No where in the terms and conditions does it state that I need to be an employee until the end of the pay period, it states that I have to be an employee on the date of the payout which is the 13th. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks

Re: Promised Bonus

Florida law does not have any provision requirement payment in these circumstances. Try to appeal up the ladder if unsuccessful and appeal to ER by referring to your length & quality of service, etc.
