Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I've been promised work and filled out the proper paperwork. Payrate and position were promised. The company fired the General Manager who "hired" me and now they say they can only offer me a lower position, less hours and half pay of what was promised. Can I do something?

You can only do something if you had a written contract with the company which promised you a specific position and pay rate. Otherwise, the company is free to hire you or not hire you, and for any position or pay rate.

Probably not, unless your promise was in writing.
