Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Promotion Announced throughout company but never materialized.

I was recently told by my Manager that he had recommended me for an Office Manager position at another banch. (One that was closer to my home and paid more than my current salary).

He even went as far as announcing the promotion at a banch meeting. Needless to say EVERYONE knew. When the other branch manager came in to meet me, he said he was not offering an Office Manager position (and it was just a regular transfer).

Now that I am basically back to square one, more embarrassed than anything else infront of my peers, is there anything I can do?

No, there is not any sort of legal claim given the facts presented. Disappointing and frustrating---yes; illegal - no.
