punching out before scheduled

i am an employee in florida. i am wondering if i am scheduled until a certain time but asked to go home early, can i refuse to go home without getting fired?

Probably not, but whether they owe you for the time after punch out would be governed by your contract. If they don't have the work for you or want to limit your hours, that is typically the employer's right -- unless there is a contract to the contrary.
