Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I actually have two questions if you please:
1) I work at a bank in Florida. My boss has hired her niece and is training her to advance in the company. I have been employed at this bank for 13 years and am more qualified than my boss' niece to perform duties. Yet, her niece is being trained to advance in the company. Can she do that?
2) I have epilepsy. My employer has required me to sign a form stating that I will take my medication before I get to work or they will fire me. 4 people cornered me in a room & told me this. Was I required to sign this form and was I discriminated against by having to sign this letter?

-Normally there is nothing under the law to prevent nepotism, such as promoting family members, etc.
-why is it that they are asking you to take your meds before work? What does the letter say? Would more information to let you know whether you have been discriminated against.
