Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I recently talked to a person who retired from the same company that I retired from.He informed me that he took the companies retirees medical plan that was a very low cost plan out of his pocket. When I retired my family took the plan that my wifes employer offered as it was a much better plan. The retirement plan from my employer was a benifit that was given to me when I hired into the company.I opted not to take their plan so am I eligible to recieve the monies that my company did not have to pay for my medical plan because I opted not to take their medical plan?

Generally no, unless the company had a policy which allowed for this. You likely would have known about it if they did.
