reimbursement of mileage, promised

company promised reimbursement of mileage, never i was told that in order to be paid , i had to return the form on fridays, but in fridays is that i did the more driving and was too far away to return back to the office, consequently i returned the request on the followiing week, unaware of the policy, but also the policty would have been conflictive , because i was doing my job and driving hundreds of miles in one day. i resigned from that job, but the administrator refused to pay for the mileage that was not paid, do i have any legal recourse? please help

Yes, they owe your the promised mileage. It may not be worth your time and effort, however, to sure for $45.
