Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Rejected unfairly

I have applied for many jobs in the last few months and I now find out that they subsequently ran credit checks on me (my score is deplorable) I have not been offered any of the jobs I have gone

after. Is it legal for people to refuse

employment because of bad credit,

and how do I prove it?

Thank you for your assistance,
