Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Repayment of raise
In May 07 my employer awarded me my yearly raise. I was mistakenly given $1 hr instead of .50c. The mistake was discovered today during the processing of this years .50c raise. I am now being told I wont be awarded any raise and they have requested I sign a contract agreeing to pay back the sum of $836.50. Can they legaly do this?

Re: Repayment of raise
They probably can ask you to repay the mistaken raise of .50 but not the other .50 which you told you were entitled to since May of 07. Try to work it out with them. Do not sign any contract without first consulting with an attorney
