Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Immediate resignation affecting rate of pay

Employees / security officers have resigned on the spot or called in to say that they will not be returning to work, effectively resigning. Effective immediately ANY employee/ secuorty officer who resigns thier position without giving the required two weeks notice will be deemed to be absent without notice from thier post . This will result in s/o 's / employees being paid minimum wage for all hours worked on thier final paycheck.

Is this legal and if so why ?
