Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

If I own a restaurant in Florida, can I record my employees in the kitchen if it is an open kitchen similar to Subway. By this I mean that everything they do or say can be seen by the public.

Under Florida law it is illegal to record someone without their consent. However, I do believe you can videotape the kitchen area without volume if that would help.
