Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
I settled a workman's compensation case with my former emplyer and signed a release stating that I would not reapply for the ABC Corporation. I was offered another position with the same employer but a different company name, XYZ Corporation. Can I accept the employement offer or will I invalidate my settlement agreement?

If it is a different company then you can accept the position. In addition, if your agreement was that you would not reapply then you would not have violated the agreement even if it was the same company because you did not reapply -- they offered you the job.
