Sick days at work

What is the law regarding sick paid sick days. I recently had to go to ER with my daughter because she was ve, very sick and had to stay with her for 2 days. So I did not go to work those to days.

On my company policy I have 6 sick days a year and I asked the supervisor if I could take 2 of those days for the 2 days I did not attend work and she said it was illegal to do that because I was not the one that was sick. I can not take it from vacation because my vacation will kick in in 6 months. Is there any law concerning emediate family members on sick days or something?

No, unfortunately you have no legal protection here.
