Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
my sister is paid hourly and struggles to get by. Her employer told her as well as the rest of the staff that if they are out sick without written documentation from a medical facility for one day they will automatically get docked for 2 weeks pay. I've never heard of such a thing. Can they do this? No one says anything for fear of losing their jobs.

NO, they can't. They can terminate her, but if she works, she is entitled to be paid.
