Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I own a small auto parts distributor in Miami Florida and have a sales manager who says that he is due overtime when he works over 40 hours a week. Is this correct?

If he is doing sales and/or is a manager probably not but you need to go through his job responsibilities and duties with an attorney that handles FLSA or Fair Labor Standards Act matters to make sure. You don't want to expose yourself to this kind of lawsuit.
