Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Stepped over for famly members in a corp.
I work for a large corperation in FL. based out of TX. in the HVAC wholesale indastry for over 6 years. I have been trying to land a sales job with them since I started in June of 1996. I have done everything I was told to do in order for it to happen. I was recently stepped over for the regional managers son who has no sales experance and has been with the store for have the time. I don't think the boss has the company best intrest in mind. I think he is making buiness descions based on his personal life. Is there some law that protects employees from this kind of disscrimanation.

No, unfortunately "nepitisim" is not illegal, although it may be unfair.
