Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida
Can someone sue me for a loan if I did not sign a written contract or promissory note? My former employer says I owe him $40,000 dollars for college tuition. He has left several bad messages on my phone. They paid for my college degree and they are upset that I found another job, but I know for a fact that I did not sign any formal signed contract or promissory note between my employer regarding the payments to University of Phoenix or a repayment plan which normal loan have. Will this lie hold up in court if my former employer cant provide documentation that I signed any formal signed contract or promissory note?
