Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Suspension pending invesitgation

I am an exempt associate who was suspended from my job pending investigation of an email I forwarded to a friend, who then forwarded it elsewhere until it reached someone who was offended by its content. I have not been told if I will be fired for this or if I will be able to return to my job. I have been home waiting for their response now for almost 2 weeks. Can I be sued by my company or by this 'unknown' individual?

Thanks, Anna

Re: Suspension pending invesitgation

It depends on what the e-mail says. Example: if the e-mail says that Susie Q is a prostitute or that John T is a child molester, then, yes, you can be sued.
