Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I was terminated for correcting the productivity record. Prior to the termination, my manager called me in to her office about this incident. I told the manager I was not aware that we cannot correct the time category and it was not explained to us. She informed me that although we were given an access to correct the productivity record, that the time category should not be changed unless notified by the manager, according to her, we will forget this incident and Monday will be our fresh start. When I came back from my 2 days vacation, before i even started, she terminated me because of this. Do i have a case against my employer?

It depends if you were selected for write up based upon your age, gender, race, pregnancy, etc. If not, an employer can pretty much fire you for whatever reason especially if they claim you did not perform. Make sure since you were fired you apply for unemployment. IF you have further questions on your right check out our employee rights blog www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com or www.behrenlaw.com.
