Terminated yet still working??

I gave my two week notice on 2/15/06, on a Friday. The

manager acccepted it, and told me at that point that

she had already filled my position with another employee.

I found out yesterday, from another nurse,that I had

in fact been terminated on 2/13/06 - she saw a fax stating

this from HR. I am still working and on the schedule

until 3/3/06.

Can I be terminated and still work? I have not been given

any notice of this termination.

This same manager gave a Full Time position to another

nurse that has less experience and has been with the

hospital only 9 months (I have been here over 2 years)

She did not post the position or offer it to anyone else.

Can she do this?

Since you quit your job, I'm not sure what the most important question you're trying to address is, but Florida is an employment at will State, which means you and your employer are both free to end the working relationship at any time for any reason (whether its a good reason, a bad reason, or no reason at all).
