Termination Paycheck and Charges
Can a company who terminates an employee legally deduct costs of uniforms they supplied you, which you returned back to the company, from your last paycheck, even if there is no mention of it in policy/procedures or ever mentioned to the employee that it was policy?

Deduction of wages can be improper if (1) it is not authorized by the employee or (2) if there is no agreement that the employee will be financially responsible for the item(s) the employer is making the deduction.
In regards to uniforms, you need to verify that that the employer received them. In addition, you should be provided with an itemized list of the cost for the uniforms.
There is also an issue if a deduction takes your wages under min. wage for Florida. Currently, it is $6.79 an hour. If the deductions brought your wages below this - you may have a valid claim and you should contact an attorney for legal advise on how to be paid properly.
