Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Tuition Reimbursement Repay

Employer notification received indicating I must repay funds for tuition reimbursement. I left company after receiving notification from them that their contract may not be renewed and therefore my job would be eliminated (which is what ultimately happened) - I needed financial and employment stability so I left for a new job. Do I have any recourse or basis for a case to not repay them?

Re: Tuition Reimbursement Repay

It depends on your employment contract and the companmy policy. Usually, when you leave as you describe it, the departure triggers the repayment obligation.
