Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Types of harrassment at work

I'm a automotive tech. I have to leave work early a couple times a week for legal matters concerning my teenage daughter.after returning to work I am denied cars to work on while another tech gets most of the work. I get paid on commission basis only. This is a very dirty practice that my employer seems to enjoy. I even got chewed out today for something that I had nothing to do with. I do have two or three witnesses to these situations and I plan on telling the judge that is handling my daughters case about all of this. I'm in florida, is there any possibilty that I could sue my employer for all future lost wages and insurance?

Re: Types of harrassment at work

Probably not. It would depend on your contract with your employer (i.e. are you permitted time off with the frequency that you leave?, Is there a requirement that he give you work at all?). It would be very unusual for an employment agreement to permit an employee to take off two or three times a week during the day.
