Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Unemployment Wages

I have worked here for 4 months. According to unemployment, Fla unempl uses(right now) a date spread instead of weeks worked: October 2001-May 2002 to base unemployment wages on. During that time I was self employed trying to get a business of the ground, so needless to say: there WERE no earnings. So, now they are telling me I would be entitled to 0 compensation. Is there any retaliation for this? Until that one year, I was consistenly employed.

Thanks

Michelle

Re: Unemployment Wages

You can appeal any denial of your claim but I doubt you would succeed.
