Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Uneployment

I will try to make this short. My husband was fired, we collected unemplyment for a month, recived a letter stating that he lied on his emplyment application and asking for the money back. Under the line asking criminal record he put yes (he has been to prison and knows he has to.) Former employer says he did not. Went as far as hiring an investigator to find out what my husband was in prison for. My husband worked for him for a year. Shouldn't he have found out before he was hired if it was so important to him? We are waiting for a copy of the aplication. When we get it back and it shows he said yes what is our next step?

Re: Uneployment

You have the right to appeal, and need to send in a letter stating you are appealing - - must be done within 20 days of the decision.
